Comms Commands Explained

    When browsing the CS Time Communications Module, there are certain commands that get displayed under the cmd column to indicate what the comms is currently busy with.

    Below are a few of the commands and a description of what each command does.

     

    Command Code Code Definition Command action
    ACA Set Card Active - A is simply to prioritize the command Sends down a card when it is assigned to an employee.
    ADB Delete Biometric - A is simply to prioritize the command Removes the biometric template from the device.
    AGB Get Employee Biometric - A is simply to prioritize the command Retrieves the employee’s biometric template.
    CAC Collect All Clockings Retrieves all clockings on the device.
    CRU Send Cards Sends down all cards, along with the employee's current status.
    CTA Send Access Rights Sends down any changes made to the access rights.
    EDV Enable Device Sends down changes that get made to the device.
    GDT Get Dat and Time Retrieves the current date and time of the device.
    RRT Reset Replication Table Sends down and resets all replication details on the device.
    RST Reset Device

    This command invokes a specific rest command, depending on the typ of device.

    • CSTC - Resets the device
    • ZK - Wipes the device.
    SAN Set Area name Sends down changes made to the employee's access area.
    SCA Set Card Active Sends down a card when it is assigned to an employee.
    SCT    
    SCD Set Card as Deleted Removes the card from the device.
    SCF Send Card Fingerprint Sent down when Adding/Changing a card/fingerprint
    SCM Send Clock Messages Sends down all the messages that the device uses.
    SDT Set Date and Time Sets the current date and time of the device.
    SEA Set Employee Area Sets te current area of employees on te clock.
    SEM Send Employee Masterfile Sends down the employee record to the device when any changes are made.
    SKS Sending Key Sequences Sends down all the current key sequences.
    SSR Sending Sirens Sends down any changes made to the siren times.
    STZ Set Time Zones Sends down any changes made to Timezones.
    WSU When Starting Up

    This command invokes the startup routine of the clock depending on the type of clock.  

    • CapeClock – Auto set date and time (if used)
    • CSTC – Synchronize
    • Actatek – Create a connection
